MSc IT | Master in Science IT
Program Overview
The MSc-IT program is aimed at designing and implementing advanced traditional computing environment. IT architecture is an integrated framework for acquiring and evolving IT to achieve strategic goals. It has both ‘logical’ and ‘technical’ components. The logical components include mission, functional and informational requirements, system configurations, and information flows. The technical components include IT standards and rules that will be used to implement the logical architecture. It therefore includes both computing and communication network technology in the same world.
IAIT in collaboration with Sikkim Manipal University in Delhi and Dehradun has setup centers of excellence to provide quality education in the field of Information Technology through the Distance Education programs.
Program Objectives
The primary objectives of the program are as under:
To equip postgraduate students with an integrated set of skills that will allow them to develop their professional careers in Information Technology.
To equip students with the theoretical and practical knowledge that is necessary to enable them to understand the design of complex computer applications/science.
The program helps students to acquire the latest skills and build their future capabilities using world-class technology. At the end of this program, the student will possess a strong foundation of computer systems and information technology.
The program also prepares students to embrace future developments in the field and has a demonstrated professional relevance.
Dexterity in advanced programming languages; power to build sophisticated software for wide area of applications. Skills to work with higher end applications in internet technologies; also managerial ability to analyze, design, develop and to maintain software development.

Benefits and Goals
Since the study is to be done through Distance Learning, you can do it after your work hours at any time of your convenience. In this way, you continue to add on your work experience, and earn a degree at the same time.
It can be done without compromising your existing job or occupation.
The cost of a distance learning program is usually less than a full time physical course at a school. For those candidates who are already paying some old education debt, a cheaper cost option will always help to cut down their expense and still receive a good knowledge and degree.
It is a practical program because the nature of this course is such it is practically possible to conduct it through distance learning quite efficiently. Without compromising on the quality of education, it is possible to learn maximum even through weekend classes.
The distance learning program offers great flexibility in terms of the study hours and timings, online course material and e-books, and live interaction with the faculty. This way the gap between a full time program and distance learning program gets reduced when the faculty and study material is accessible to the students.
